PartnerSHIPS™
Dear Travel Partner,

We appreciate you booking your clients on an upcoming Cuba cruise with us and want to provide new information regarding the recent travel policy announced on November 9, 2017.

We will be notifying your clients who have booked a Cuba cruise with information they need to be in compliance with the law and have a memorable vacation in a fascinating destination. Specifically, we informed them that:

• If they made their reservations on or after June 16, 2017, and disembark in Cuba, they must participate in a full-day Holland America Line-guided group program or another qualifying third-party-sponsored program.

• If they made their reservations before June 16, 2017, and disembark in Cuba, they may still travel under the “self-guided” people-to-people exemption or join a Holland America Line-guided group program.

• All visitors to Cuba are now prohibited from engaging in direct financial transactions with certain entities in Cuba, including some hotels, shopping centers and other tourist-focused businesses. A complete list of restricted businesses in Cuba is issued periodically by the U.S. State Department and will be updated from time to time.

Please remind your clients that popular shore excursions sell out quickly, so they’ll want to book early at Hollandamerica.com to ensure that they get their preferred shore excursions in Cuba.

Finally, please see the Travel Affidavit and Cuba Q&A detail. Your clients need to sign the Travel Affidavit and give it to a Holland America Line representative at embarkation. You can also find this information at GoHAL.com.

If we can answer any questions or assist you in any way, please don’t hesitated to contact your local BDM. And thank you for recommending Holland America Line to your clients.

Kind regards,

Holland America Line
