I hope this finds you safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. All of us at Holland America Line are looking forward to the future when we will once again have the opportunity to welcome guests aboard.
As you know, our third Pinnacle-class ship, Ryndam, was scheduled to be delivered in May 2021. As a result of the global health situation, she will now be delivered one year from today on July 30, 2021. In honor of some of the most iconic ships in Holland America Line’s nearly 150-year history, we have made the decision to change her name to Rotterdam. The current Rotterdam in our fleet was recently sold, and our newest ship will be the seventh ship to bear this name and will become the flagship of our fleet.
As a result of the delay in delivering Rotterdam, we have also made some changes to Nieuw Statendam’s 2021 European deployment. As a result, your clients who are booked on Nieuw Statendam voyages from June 6 to September 15, 2021, and on Ryndam voyages from May 15 to August 15, 2021 have had their voyages cancelled and will have their bookings transferred to comparable sailings.

Guests who are booked on replacement voyages that are longer or equal in length will have their bookings re-accommodated at the rate already paid. Guests on replacement voyages that are shorter in length will have their base cruise fare pro-rated based on the number of days in the replacement voyage, and their Cancellation Protection Plan and Taxes, Fees, and Port Expenses re-calculated based on the new booking.
Guests booked on Ryndam’s (now Rotterdam’s) Premiere Voyages departing on May 15, 2021 will be transferred to the new Premiere Voyages, departing on August 1, 2021.
As a gesture of appreciation, all guests will have an Onboard Credit (OBC) applied to their new booking. Guests whose original voyages are up to 10 days in length will receive $100 per person, and guests on voyages of 12 days or longer will receive $250 per person.
New booking numbers and confirmation will be available within 4 to 6 weeks. While we know you and your clients are eager to learn more about the new bookings, we ask for your patience as we go through the process of building replacement itineraries and rebooking these cruises. Please know our reservations team does not have any additional itinerary information to share with you. Details will be shared when the new bookings are confirmed in our system and we look forward to answering your questions at that time.
